Admissions Counselor Training (and its parent company Enrollment Pros, LLC) is where high-end, relationships, sales, and higher education intersect. Ryan Trout is a graduate of Wheaton College (IL) and grew up in a family of teachers and salespeople. Ryan found an immediate post-baccalaureate interest in higher education enrollment because it incorporated teaching prospective families, sales and relationship building, and the opportunity to help people make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Admissions Counselor Training is the evolution and up-scaling of what makes an enrollment career so inspiring. By teaching other admissions professionals, by influencing other sales and relationship building skills, and by increasing the awareness of our life-changing responsibility with others, we are hoping to create more effective admissions counselors. Why? Our goal is for every college to receive our training because if every individual is working with the same high set of recruiting skills, prospective students and parents benefit the most. They’ll receive the help they need with a major and costly decision, be prepared to make well educated decisions, and their expectations will be more fully met. We don’t help colleges enroll more students. We help colleges enroll more future graduates. Everybody wins.
Admissions Counselor Training and Enrollment Pros, LLC were founded in 2018, but the work that went into creating them began in 2008. It took 10+ years of seeing too many colleges paying too much for insufficient training before offering a different kind of training. We know it’s different because we’ve sat through the same training you’ve sat through and paid too much for. This may not be the last training your team will ever receive, but our hope is that it’s the best value training you’ll ever receive. The process of gathering this proprietary information, adapting it and being able to offer it to non-profit colleges was grueling, but happy customers have confirmed that the training is hitting a need which isn’t currently being met by any other program. The need for and interest in this training is greater than the need for another variety of marketing service consulting.

Founder and CEO
Ryan Trout
Ryan has more than 10 years experience in Admissions, which includes undergrad and graduate, traditional and non-traditional, & proprietary and non-profit. Within admissions, Ryan has been at every level of the totem-pole and has been consulting with scores of colleges for the last 6 years. While serving as Director and then interim Chief Enrollment Officer at Judson University, the freshman class grew 23% in one year under Ryan’s leadership. Ryan developed Admissions Counselor Training and its materials through diverse experience influenced by the top-notch sales training provided by proprietary institutions, multiple big-box training programs for non-profit colleges, and techniques which have produced record-setting enrollment numbers in each of Ryan’s roles.
